The Horne Foundation was started two years ago to pay homage to my father, John Horne, and to address my platform while serving as Miss Tallahassee Caribbean Carnival BBB Queen (2019–2021). As a child, I can remember watching my Mom and Dad serve the community in their unique ways—cutting yards, providing meals and shelter, and through various sporting activities for kids and adults.
Since its inception, we have raised over $30,000 to serve those in need and to raise awareness of the homeless crisis throughout Florida, towards our mission, and in collaboration with the Mombasa Relief Initiative in Mombasa, Kenya. We have partnerships in Tallahassee (City Walk), Jacksonville (Clara White Mission), and Pensacola (Honor Her Foundation and Huts 4 our Friends).
The Horne Foundation strives to eradicate homelessness and empower individuals by advocating resources for organizations that serve marginalized communities. "The Horne Foundation is dedicated to eradicating homelessness and uplifting individuals by championing essential resources for organizations that serve marginalized communities. Through strategic advocacy, collaborative partnerships, and direct support, we help ensure that vital services—such as housing, education, employment assistance, and mental health support—are accessible to those in need. Our mission is to create pathways for stability, dignity, and opportunity, fostering a future where everyone has a place to call home."
The Horne Foundation is dedicated to eradicating homelessness and empowering marginalized communities through advocacy and resource support. Its key initiatives include the Month of Giving Campaign, which mobilizes donations and aid for shelters in Florida and Kenya, and the Steals & Slides Kickball Tournament, a fundraising event benefiting City Walk Urban Mission in Tallahassee and Clara White Mission in Jacksonville. The foundation collaborates with organizations like Honor Her Foundation and Huts 4 Our Friends in Pensacola to provide shelter and essential services. Since its inception, the foundation has raised over $30,000 to support individuals in need.
