Our history
The Horne Foundation was started two years ago to pay homage to my father, John Horne, and to address my platform while serving as Miss Tallahassee Caribbean Carnival BBB Queen (2019–2021). As a child, I can remember watching my Mom and Dad serve the community in their own unique ways—cutting yards, providing meals and shelter, and through various sporting activities for kids and adults.
Since inception, we have raised over $20,000 to serve those in needs and to bring awareness to the homeless crisis throughout Florida; towards our mission; and collaboration with the Mombasa Relief Initiative in Mombasa, Kenya. We have partnerships in Tallahassee (City Walk), Jacksonville (Clara White Mission) and Pensacola (Honor Her Foundation and Huts 4 our Friends).
